We started in 2022. Since then we have served more than 150 families. Four people who came to us at the end of their lives were cared for here until they died, with dignity and not alone.
Right now we are directly caring for ten mothers with no means of support, one couple in assisted living, and nine young people with intellectual disabilities, and seventeen people earn a wage through us.
We are small on purpose: everyone who lives here is known by name by everyone who works here, and that is not something a place keeps once it grows past a certain size. What we have built is a house where nobody is discharged for being difficult, and nobody is sent away when the money runs out.
